One of the surprises of the first round of the last 32 in Malmö came with the knock-out of the No7 couple, Jon and Coki

Jon Sanz and Coki Nieto have been one of the fittest pairs since they decided to join forces. It has been that consistency that will allow them to be in the last tournament of the year, the Final Master in Barcelona. However, including this Malmö Open, in the last three tournaments they have been eliminated twice in the round of 32 and once in the quarter finals. The cold in Sweden took its toll on the young Spaniards, who will return home earlier than expected. Their opponents were Víctor Ruíz and Lucas Bergamini, who got through to the last sixteen after a duel that went to three sets. The Brazilian and the player from Cartagena won the first set and let the second one go, but they stepped on the gas in the last one: 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. https://www.instagram.com/p/CzWqYrEI7DJ/?hl=es&img_index=1 «The life of an athlete has good moments and bad moments. With the level of Victor and Lucas today it was very difficult to win. Congratulations guys on the game and on the year you are having. Screwed for leaving in the first round, we are working hard and that is not going to change. Let’s go team», this is how Jon Sanz expressed his regret at not being able to win today and his respect for the level of his rivals.
