From Argentina to the world: a passion turned into global success
What began as a local initiative in Argentina in the late 1980s has grown into an international benchmark. In 2025, HEAD Padel celebrates its 25th anniversary since its official consolidation, marking the milestone with a limited-edition collection that blends tradition, retro design, and cutting-edge technology.
The collection includes the ELITE LTD racket, the RETRO PADEL BAG 25TH LTD, the TOTE PADEL BAG 25TH LTD, and the RETRO COVER BAG 25TH LTD. Together, they embody the brand’s philosophy: performance, creativity, and passion for padel.
A journey defined by innovation and talent
The story of HEAD Padel began in 1989, when entrepreneur Billy Mosche produced the first rackets under license in Argentina. However, it was in 2000 that the brand officially established itself thanks to the vision of Eduardo Vieytes, HEAD’s representative in Argentina, who assembled a team of designers and developers with a clear ambition: to redefine what a padel racket could be.
The first models were crafted from Kiri wood, a lightweight material native to the forests of Misiones, reinforced with fiberglass resin for durability and style. This unique combination quickly caught the attention of professional players.
Among them was Daniela Álvarez, a pioneer of Argentine padel:
“I was an ambassador for the sport. I competed, coached, and played exhibition matches across the country. I enjoyed every moment,” she recalls.
Also part of that era was Jorge Nicolini, one of the sport’s most charismatic players:
“Padel was absolutely booming. New courts were opening everywhere, tournaments were held every weekend, and the stands were packed like it was a music concert,” Nicolini proudly remembers.
ELITE LTD: the standout release
The centerpiece of this anniversary collection is the ELITE LTD racket, with only 1,000 units produced worldwide. Inspired by a wooden racket designed in Argentina in 1989, it combines a premium retro design with the high performance of a modern racket.
The collection also features the RETRO PADEL BAG 25TH LTD, the TOTE PADEL BAG 25TH LTD, and the RETRO COVER BAG 25TH LTD. All items showcase elegant finishes in black and brown—the latter inspired by HEAD’s very first padel racket—and display the brand’s original logo as a distinctive hallmark.
